The Learning and Development (L&D) Communication Specialist will play a pivotal role in driving the successful adoption and long-term realization of global learning programs and initiatives. Supporting the L&D Change Management and Communications Lead, this individual will develop, deploy, and execute function- and program-specific marketing and communication strategies. Operating in a complex, fast-paced, and constantly changing environment, the Specialist will translate verbose or technical development concepts into streamlined, high-impact messaging that captures learner engagement. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a proactive, creative professional to shape internal learning narratives, manage multi-channel internal marketing, and collaborate closely with cross-functional L&D consultants and senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive learning marketing strategies, communication plans, and core messaging frameworks to keep stakeholders informed and learners actively engaged.
  • Draft, edit, and distribute multi-channel communication materials, including targeted emails, high-profile slide decks, internal articles, community posts, and newsletters.
  • Lead the end-to-end production efforts—including content creation, editing, publishing, and distribution—for the L&D department’s monthly newsletter.
  • Establish, standardize, and maintain corporate templates and guidelines for program- and offering-level communications.
  • Drive internal awareness and marketing campaigns highlighting existing learning tracks, specialized programs, and upcoming course availability.
  • Partner and coordinate closely with internal Learning Consultants and business partners to align messaging with broader organizational training goals.
  • Capture, analyze, and report on key marketing and communication performance metrics to continuously evaluate and optimize content strategy.
  • Manage multiple parallel project timelines proactively, ensuring all communication deliverables are met independently and on schedule.

Education

  • Minimum Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field.

Experience

  • Core Requirements: Proven experience developing and executing corporate marketing strategies, change-oriented communication plans, and managing parallel project timelines.
  • Technical Communication: Demonstrated mastery of copy editing, copywriting, and streamlining complex data into concise summaries tailored for diverse internal channels (such as video scripts, newsletters, presentations, and internal advertisements).
  • Audience Analysis: Strong track record of analyzing global audience personas and customizing corporate messaging to drive user engagement and adoption across varied demographics.
  • Software Proficiency: Highly proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Preferred Experience: Hands-on experience utilizing the Adobe Creative suite, building and maintaining internal SharePoint sites, and practical experience applying Change Management methodologies.

Additional Information

  • Core Competencies: Requires an exceptionally detail-oriented critical thinker with superior writing, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills. Candidates must possess the professional presentation capability required to comfortably deliver strategy and insights to senior leadership.
  • Role Nature: This is a dynamic position demanding equal parts independent task execution, creative resourcefulness, and collaborative alignment with internal L&D program leads.
