The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver interested in how real-time data and analytical techniques impact large-scale vaccine manufacturing.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assay Execution: Conduct real-time flow cytometry assays to support manufacturing process control and viral growth consistency.
  • PAT Support: Assist in the transfer and implementation of process analytical technologies into cGMP facilities.
  • Process Monitoring: Support viral growth curve experiments and collect data to characterize existing processes and identify sources of variability.
  • Lab Operations: Manage routine laboratory maintenance, including cleaning, supply ordering, and preventative equipment maintenance.
  • Technical Investigations: Conduct laboratory experiments to troubleshoot process issues and implement long-term technical solutions.
  • Documentation: Maintain rigorous cGMP documentation and exercise scientific judgment for real-time decision-making.
  • Candidate Requirements
  • Education & Experience
  • BS Degree in Life Sciences (Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Immunology, Virology) or Engineering (Biomedical, Chemical).
  • Experience Level: 0–1 year of professional experience (New graduates with strong academic lab experience are encouraged to apply).
  • Technical Skills: Experience with college-level laboratory techniques in biotechnology or chemistry is required.

Required Skills

  • Strength in technical troubleshooting and data interpretation.
  • Superior reporting skills (presenting results, impact, and recommendations).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, multi-functional team.
  • Excel Proficiency: Intermediate skills for data tracking and analysis.
  • Medical Requirement: Must be willing to be vaccinated or blood-tested for titer against the Varicella (chickenpox) virus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with flow cytometry or immunoassays.
  • Familiarity with cell culture, aseptic techniques, and cGMP manufacturing.
  • Previous experience within the pharmaceutical industry.

Shift Information

  • Training: Initial 3–4 weeks on 1st Shift (Tues–Sat or Sun–Thurs).
  • Standard Shift: 2nd Shift (4 PM – 12 AM) or Swing Shift (12 PM – 8 PM).
  • Campaign Flexibility: During manufacturing campaigns, shifts may rotate/hybridize (e.g., 10 AM – 2 AM window).
  • Schedule: Typically Sun–Thurs or Tue–Sun. Potential for a 4-day, 10-hour work week if process allows.
