Description
We are seeking a driven and technically skilled Research Associate to join our dynamic lab team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of drug discovery, assisting in the development and execution of complex cell-based assays. You will work in a highly collaborative environment, bridging the gap between manual wet-lab techniques and high-throughput automation. Responsibilities
- Assist in developing, executing, and troubleshooting new cell-based assays, protocols, and analysis methods.
- Establish SOPs using automation (BRAVO/Apricot) to increase assay throughput
- Design and execute experiments, interpret data, and communicate results and findings clearly and concisely to teams and stakeholders
- Support the maintenance and characterization of iPSC-derived cell populations including immunocytochemistry, plate-based assays (Quanterix, Luminex, MSD), qPCR and other molecular biology techniques.
- Collaborate across functional areas.
Education
- BS degree in molecular and cell biology or related disciplines such as immunology or biological engineering with 1-2+ years of wet lab experience in academia or industry.
Experience
- Extensive experience with mammalian cell culture using sterile techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to perform accurate data analysis and carefully maintain a notebook record of lab activities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including preparation of lab reports and presentations. Strong attention to detail.
- Extensive in vitro experience
- Successful candidate must be able to remain focused and on task without supervision.
Additional Information
- Work Environment: This is a 100% onsite, in-lab role; candidates must be comfortable working in a physical laboratory setting daily.
- Soft Skills: The successful candidate must be self-motivated, able to remain focused on tasks without constant supervision, and possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
