Summary
The Global Medical Information (GMI) Senior Specialist is an entry-level, headquarters-based role within Global Medical & Scientific Affairs. Working under the guidance of senior GMI colleagues, this individual will play a key role in delivering US and global core functions for the GMI group. The ideal candidate will join a dynamic team dedicated to serving as a trusted resource for healthcare professionals, evaluating scientific content, and managing critical submissions to support key therapeutic initiatives, particularly in Oncology.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary contact for US healthcare professional (HCP) inquiries and manage complex escalated global HCP inquiries.
- Generate actionable insights and analysis derived from medical information inquiries.
- Conduct medical review of both promotional and non-promotional scientific materials for accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare, coordinate, and oversee Compendia and Pathways submissions.
- Evaluate and interpret complex scientific literature to support medical communication strategies.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams using negotiation and organizational skills to align on medical content.
- Maintain and utilize specialized systems and tools designated for Medical Information and Promotional Review workflows.
- Apply therapeutic area knowledge, specifically in Oncology, to support team priorities and scientific evaluations.
Education
- Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MS, or equivalent) relevant to the requirements of the position.
Experience
- Work experience in Medical Information and/or Medical/Scientific Review of promotional materials in a biotech, pharmaceutical, or healthcare environment.
- Strong foundation in clinical trial methodology, statistical concepts, and interpretation of scientific literature.
- Knowledge and therapeutic area experience in Oncology.
- Preferred: 2+ years of medical information, medical/scientific review, or related biotech/pharmaceutical experience.
- Preferred: Advanced knowledge in Oncology, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and specialized Medical Information systems.
Additional Information
- Work Model: Hybrid role based out of Upper Gwynedd, PA (requires 3 days per week on-site).
