Summary:


We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative Medical Writer – Life Sciences to join the Global Scientific and Value Content (GSVC) team. This contract role supports the development of scientific content and external tools (e.g., slide decks, Medical Information Letters, Verbal Response Documents) used by Global Medical Information and Field Medical teams. The ideal candidate will bring a collaborative spirit, strong scientific communication skills, and experience in medical content development, supporting initiatives within the fast-paced Global Medical and Value Capabilities (V&I GMVC) organization.


Responsibilities:


• Develop and maintain GSVC resources in alignment with GSVC annual plans
• Review scientific content for accuracy, relevance, and alignment with internal data and corporate standards
• Support design and development of infographics and other digital media to communicate complex data
• Analyze and evaluate the presentation of therapeutic and scientific data to ensure compliance and clarity
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders across geographies and therapy areas
• Lead specific tasks within a team environment, prioritizing deliverables and producing high-quality work
• Contribute to transformational initiatives by proposing innovative communication strategies and formats
• Evaluate new technologies and tools to enhance content development and delivery
• Advocate for evolving customer needs, particularly for GMSA Field Medical and Global Medical Information teams


Education:


• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences (required)
• PharmD or PhD in Life Sciences (preferred)


Experience Required:


• Minimum 2 years of experience in life sciences and medical writing or systems/process coordination
• Experience in Medical Affairs and/or scientific content development
• Strong communication, project management, and stakeholder collaboration skills
• Experience creating structured, easy-to-navigate slide decks and scientific documents
• Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

 

Preferred:


• Experience working at affiliate, regional, or global levels
• Experience in medical information, scientific exchange, or healthcare communications


Additional Information:


• Location: Hybrid – UG, PA or Rahway, NJ preferred 
• Schedule: Full-time
• Assignment Length: 12 months with potential for extension
• Software Proficiency: MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word; Veeva Vault MedComms (nice to have)
• Team Focus: Supporting scientific exchange, medical information inquiries, and global medical content creation
