Lab Technician

Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Laboratory Technician to join our team in the production of veterinary pharmaceutical products. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and sterility of laboratory equipment, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and supporting smooth operations within a fast-paced, safety-focused environment. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a team setting and is flexible with scheduling in a 7-day operational department.

Responsibilities

• Perform critical procedures including the washing, wrapping, and sterilization of equipment
• Load and unload autoclaves; operate parts washers and glass washers
• Handle movement of materials and decontamination of wastes
• Set up and operate technical lab equipment as required
• Maintain accurate records and documentation including charts and log books
• Communicate any unusual or non-routine findings or occurrences
• Clean and maintain work areas to meet safety and GMP standards
• Work with hazardous materials such as isopropyl alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, phenolic disinfectants, and oxidizers
• Follow all safety protocols, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and company policies

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Degree in a scientific field preferred

Experience

• Prior experience in a pharmaceutical or GMP-regulated environment preferred
• Familiarity with MS Office and lab sterilization equipment (autoclaves, washers, etc.) is a plus

Additional Information

• Location: On-site Millsboro, DE
• Initial schedule: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM; flexibility required for rotating days off and potential schedule adjustments
• Opportunity for overtime
• Length of assignment: 12 months
