Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician to join our Animal Health team in Millsboro, DE. This site is a key part of our global biotechnology network, focused on the production, packaging, and distribution of high-quality vaccines for animals. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the manufacturing process, with hands-on responsibilities in lab and production environments. You’ll join a team committed to a “Safety First, Quality Always” culture, contributing to vaccine formulation, aseptic processing, and general laboratory support.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize work areas including floors, walls, and equipment.
  • Prepare, clean, and sterilize glassware and lab tools for daily operations.
  • Assist with setup and operation of manufacturing equipment.
  • Support aseptic procedures such as product formulation, fill equipment operation, and environmental monitoring.
  • Maintain accurate and concurrent documentation including charts, logs, and batch records.
  • Conduct formulation, filling, labeling, capping, packaging, and visual inspection of vaccines.
  • Assist with training new team members and help maintain SOPs and production records.
  • Support non-aseptic procedures including handling of poultry for tissue harvesting.
  • Attend workshops, trainings, and meetings to enhance skills and stay compliant with procedures.
  • Monitor and request laboratory supplies as needed.

Education

  • High School diploma or GED with relevant industry lab experience
  • OR Bachelor's degree with industry or academic lab experience

Experience
Required:

  • Minimum of 1 year laboratory experience
  • Ability to work independently within defined procedures and timelines
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience or understanding of aseptic clean room practices
  • Basic math and unit conversion skills
  • Comfortable standing for long periods

Preferred:

  • Additional lab experience
  • Educational background in biology or chemistry
  • Mechanical aptitude

Additional Information

  • This is a 6-month assignment located in Millsboro, DE
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Shift schedule rotates monthly and may include:
  •  – 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
  •  – 2nd Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  •  – 3rd Shift: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
  •  – 4th Shift: 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM
  • Team members typically rotate between two adjacent shifts each week
  • Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and safety protocols is mandatory
