Description

We are seeking an entry-level Laboratory Technician to support the production of veterinary products in a GMP-compliant, aseptic environment. This role is integral to executing critical laboratory procedures and supporting cell culture processes throughout the manufacturing cycle. The ideal candidate brings a scientific mindset, attention to detail, and a strong sense of safety and compliance. You’ll join a collaborative team focused on quality, innovation, and animal health.

Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory procedures including aseptic work, media preparation, tissue culture, antigen inoculation and harvest, and vaccine filling
  • Operate technical equipment such as pH meters and UniFuge systems
  • Accurately measure and prepare components as per SOPs
  • Maintain documentation and records, including charts and logbooks, in compliance with GMP standards
  • Clean and sterilize lab equipment and work areas
  • Set up, operate, and monitor lab equipment
  • Work safely with hazardous materials including isopropyl alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, and phenolic disinfectants
  • Follow aseptic behaviors and clean room protocols at all times
  • Communicate unusual findings or deviations to supervisors promptly

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline or commensurate experience

Experience

  • Some laboratory-based experience required
  • GMP and cleanroom experience required
  • Cell culturing experience highly preferred
  • Experience using SAP and following SOPs
  • Prior use of lab instrumentation like pH meters and UniFuge systems
  • Vaccine production knowledge is a plus
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills

Additional Information

  • On-site position requiring a physical abilities test prior to start
  • Shift schedule: 4 consecutive 10-hour days
  • Must be able to work safely with biological materials and hazardous chemicals
