Description

Join our Antigen Production Lab as a Manufacturing Technician, where you will play a key role in the execution of aseptic processes and closed-system processing. This position is responsible for supporting the full manufacturing cycle of veterinary products, from cell culture preparation to antigen harvest. Working in a highly regulated environment, you will handle both manual and automated operations while maintaining a sterile and safe workspace. This is a foundational role perfect for a detail-oriented individual looking to grow their career in pharmaceutical manufacturing and contribute to the production of essential animal health vaccines.

 

Responsibilities

  • Aseptic Processing: Assist with critical aseptic procedures, including antigen inoculation, cell culture preparation, and biological harvesting.
  • Non-Aseptic Operations: Support the handling of live animal viruses during the processing and harvesting of tissues and waste materials.
  • Equipment Management: Operate and maintain a variety of manufacturing equipment; assist with complex equipment setup and general maintenance.
  • Compliance & Safety: Identify and address process deviations or safety concerns immediately, ensuring all actions comply with company policies.
  • Documentation: Maintain precise, concurrent record-keeping across charts, logbooks, and all pertinent GMP documentation.
  • Facility Maintenance: Execute facility decontamination according to approved procedures and maintain general housekeeping in all work areas.
  • Waste Management: Responsible for the proper accumulation, labeling, and management of hazardous wastes following specialized training.
  • Reporting & Collaboration: Assist in the preparation of weekly reports and attend workshops or training classes to improve technical job skills.
  • System Operations: Perform both manual and automated support functions to ensure the smooth flow of the manufacturing cycle.

Education

  • Minimum Requirement: High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Experience

  • Required: Minimum of 1 year of professional experience; strong attention to detail and reliable documentation skills.
  • Technical Skills: General proficiency in mathematics, reading, and computer skills; ability to operate technical machinery with provided training.
  • Preferred: Previous experience working within a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.
  • Core Competencies: Ability to work cooperatively in a team-based manufacturing environment and follow strict safety protocols.

Additional Information

  • Physical Requirements: Successful completion of a Physical Abilities Test (POET) is a mandatory requirement for this position.
  • Schedule: Must have the flexibility to work varying hours, rotating shifts, and weekends as required by manufacturing needs and overtime demands.
