Description
The Instrument Technician II (Associate) supports calibration and maintenance activities for laboratory and manufacturing instrumentation in a regulated environment. This role blends hands-on technical work with administrative and vendor coordination responsibilities and offers strong growth opportunities into advanced calibration functions. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable working across lab, cleanroom, and utility environments, and eager to expand technical and software-based calibration skills.
Responsibilities:
- Perform pipette calibrations and support P-1 and P-2 Calibration Technicians with equipment calibrations
- Communicate and coordinate with vendors and third-party service providers for calibration activities
- Track, manage, and maintain inventory of all third-party calibration equipment for each department
- Prepare, ship, and receive calibration equipment to and from external vendors
- Stock and maintain calibration consumables and specialty gases required for equipment calibration
- Maintain and manage user access within ProCal V5 Calibration Management System (CCMS)
- Perform field calibration work in laboratory, cleanroom, and utility environments
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience:
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn and utilize calibration software systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel
- Experience in calibration, instrumentation, or technical support roles is preferred but not required
