The ideal candidate will bring technical curiosity, strong problem-solving abilities, and familiarity with bioprocess operations, including filtration, purification, and analytical instrumentation. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer or scientist to gain experience in bioprocess development, scale-up principles, and laboratory operations within an industry setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Support downstream bioprocess purification activities, including filtration, ultrafiltration, and microfiltration processes
  • Assist with laboratory-scale process characterization studies
  • Apply technical understanding of bioprocess scale-up and downstream purification principles
  • Perform wet chemistry laboratory tasks such as pipetting, buffer preparation, dilutions, filtration, and stoichiometric calculations
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records, data management, and chemical inventory documentation
  • Assist in troubleshooting experimental and equipment-related issues
  • Support method development and method transfer activities
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional team members and contribute to data interpretation and presentations
  • Work comfortably in a lab environment and follow established laboratory procedures

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or related field (strongly preferred)

Experience:

  • Experience with adjuvant or LNP processing is a plus
  • Experience with tangential flow filtration (microfiltration/ultrafiltration)
  • Understanding of downstream bioprocess purification and operations for complex molecules
  • Knowledge of bioprocess scaling principles
  • Wet chemistry laboratory experience
  • Technical writing proficiency, including laboratory notebooks and data documentation
  • Strong collaborative skills and ability to solve technical problems
  • Experience with analytical instrumentation (e.g., plate readers, densitometers, thermocyclers, cIEF, UV/Vis, HPLC/UPLC) preferred
  • Experience conducting lab-scale process characterization studies preferred
  • Experience in GMP or GLP environments preferred
  • Experience troubleshooting experimental or equipment-related issues preferred

Additional Information:

  • Experience in industry laboratory environments is beneficial
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential
