Description

As an Analytical Chemist, you will play a critical role in supporting both development and GMP laboratories by performing sophisticated biochemical analyses. Responsibilities
- Conduct analytical testing, including chemical labeling of biological samples and potency assays (e.g., ELISA).
- Perform complex separations using a range of UPLC and HPLC techniques, including IEX, SEC, HIC, and Reversed-Phase chromatography.
- Utilize advanced analysis methods, including capillary electrophoresis and two-dimensional separation techniques.
- Prepare essential buffers and solutions, pack chromatography columns, and manage the sterilization and sampling of materials.
- Document all laboratory activities in Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELN) and enter process data into organizational databases.
- Troubleshoot laboratory equipment and perform minor repairs to ensure minimal downtime.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and "inspection-ready" work environment while strictly adhering to all safety protocols.
- Manage laboratory inventory, including supply tracking and the aliquoting of materials.
- Author internal technical reports and contribute to cross-functional data reviews.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure process development goals are met within established timelines.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a closely related scientific field.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience within the pharmaceutical or medical technology industry (Pharmaceutical experience preferred).
- 1–2 years of direct experience in a wet laboratory environment.
- Proven expertise in chromatography techniques and data analysis.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience utilizing Empower software.
- Prior experience operating within cGMP or cGLP environments.
Additional Information
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required for data management and reporting.
- Soft Skills: Must demonstrate strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Logistics: Candidate must be adaptable to shifting priorities and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-stakes laboratory setting.
