Description
Join a dynamic vaccine process development team dedicated to advancing life-saving biological products. In this role, you will provide critical support within both development and GMP laboratory environments, focusing on high-level analytical techniques and essential laboratory operations. Responsibilities
- Conduct analytical testing and chemical labeling of biological samples to support vaccine development.
- Perform complex protein separations using UPLC/HPLC techniques (IEX, SEC, HIC, and RP) and capillary electrophoresis.
- Execute potency assays (ELISA) and manage detailed data analysis via Empower software.
- Prepare essential buffers and solutions, manage sample aliquoting, and maintain laboratory supply inventory.
- Operate, set up, and sterilize laboratory systems, including packing columns and performing routine sampling.
- Document all laboratory activities electronically, ensuring data is accurately entered into relevant databases and electronic lab notebooks.
- Troubleshoot laboratory equipment and perform minor repairs to ensure minimal downtime.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and inspection-ready work environment by strictly adhering to all safe laboratory practices and company policies.
- Author internal technical reports to communicate findings and maintain high documentation standards.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a closely related scientific field.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience within the pharmaceutical or medical technology industry (pharmaceutical experience preferred).
- One to two years of direct hands-on wet laboratory experience.
- Proven experience in chromatography techniques and analyzing therapeutic proteins.
- Direct experience utilizing Empower software for data management.
Additional Information
- Logistics: The successful candidate must be able to work across two site locations: West Point, PA, and North Wales, PA (sites are approximately 1–2 miles apart).
